The continued rise in chrome ore prices and correspondingly higher production costs pushed ferro-chrome prices up in all regions this week. Rising manganese ore prices pushed US manganese alloy prices higher, along with ferro-manganese prices in China and European silico-manganese prices. But other manganese alloy prices were assessed unchanged despite the higher costs because of continued weak demand.
